Terms of Use

1. Agreeing to these terms

By creating an account or using EV Souk, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree with them, don't use the app.

You must be 18 or older and legally able to enter into a contract in the UAE. If you use EV Souk on behalf of a dealership or company, you confirm you are authorised to bind that business.

2. Your account

Your account is tied to your mobile number and is yours alone. Keep access to that number secure — anyone who can receive your verification code can get into your account.

• Give accurate information, and keep it up to date.
• One account per person. Dealerships use a dealership account, not several individual ones.
• Don't sell, rent or hand your account to anyone else.
• Tell us straight away if you think someone else is using it.

You are responsible for what happens on your account, including listings posted and messages sent from it.

3. What EV Souk is — and isn't

We don't verify that a listing is accurate, that a seller owns the car, or that a car is roadworthy. Inspect before you buy, and use an independent inspection if you have any doubt.

4. Listing a car

When you post a listing you confirm that:

• The vehicle is a fully electric car. Petrol, diesel and hybrid vehicles do not belong here.
• You own it, or you are authorised to sell it.
• It is physically located in the UAE and available for sale.
• Every figure you enter — mileage, year, battery capacity, range, battery health — is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
• The photos are of the actual car, taken by you or used with permission. Stock images of a different vehicle are not acceptable.
• You have disclosed anything a reasonable buyer would want to know, including significant accident damage.

Keep your listings current. Mark a car sold or take it down once it is no longer available — a feed full of sold cars wastes everyone's time.

5. Battery figures

Range figures are estimates and depend heavily on temperature, air conditioning, speed and driving style. UAE summer conditions reduce real-world range significantly compared to manufacturer figures.

6. Verification

You can optionally verify your account with an Emirates ID or, for dealerships, a trade licence. A verified badge means we have checked that document at a point in time.

It is not a guarantee. It does not mean we endorse the seller, vouch for a car, or accept responsibility for a transaction. Deal with verified and unverified accounts with the same caution.

We may refuse, remove or re-check verification at any time. See the Privacy Policy for how verification documents are handled and deleted.

7. Messaging and conduct

Chat is for arranging a sale. Keep it civil and keep it on topic.

• No harassment, threats, hate speech or discrimination.
• No spam, bulk messaging, or promoting other businesses.
• Don't ask for bank details, card numbers or one-time codes. Nobody legitimate needs these to buy a car.
• Don't pressure anyone into paying a deposit before they have seen the vehicle.

Messages cannot be edited or deleted once sent. That is deliberate — a chat record protects both sides in a dispute.

Report anything that looks like a scam using the report option, or email us. We investigate and remove accounts that abuse the platform.

8. What's not allowed

• Listing anything other than an electric vehicle.
• Listing a car you don't have the right to sell.
• Deliberately false mileage, battery or condition information.
• Stolen vehicles, or cars with undisclosed finance owing.
• Duplicate listings for the same car to occupy more of the feed.
• Scraping, copying or bulk-extracting listings or user data.
• Attempting to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service.
• Impersonating another person, dealership or EV Souk itself.

9. Fees

Listing is free for private sellers. You can post, message and sell a car without paying us anything.

We may introduce paid features for dealerships in future. If we do, the price and terms will be presented clearly before you commit to anything, and nothing you already have will start costing money without your agreement.

EV Souk does not take a commission on a sale and does not handle payment between buyer and seller.

10. Your content

Your photos and descriptions remain yours. By posting them you give us permission to host, display, resize and distribute them within EV Souk so the marketplace can function, and to use them in promotion of the app.

This permission ends when you remove the content, except where it survives in a record we are required to keep — for example a listing attached to a completed sale.

Don't post content that isn't yours to post. If you believe something on EV Souk infringes your rights, email us and we will look into it.

11. Suspension and removal

We may remove a listing or suspend an account where we reasonably believe these terms have been broken, where there is a risk of fraud or harm to another user, or where the law requires it.

Where it is practical and appropriate we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond. For serious cases — fraud, threats, stolen vehicles — we may act immediately and permanently.

You can close your account at any time from Account → Delete account.

12. Our responsibility

EV Souk is provided as it is. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every listing on it is genuine.

We are not responsible for:

• The condition, legality, safety or history of any vehicle listed.
• Whether a seller actually owns a car, or a buyer actually pays.
• Anything a user writes in a listing or a message.
• A deal that falls through, or a dispute between a buyer and a seller.
• Loss caused by relying on a figure a seller entered.

Nothing in these terms limits liability where UAE law does not allow it to be limited — including liability for death, personal injury or fraud caused by us.

13. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any dispute between you and EV Souk will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai.

A dispute between a buyer and a seller is between them. We may be able to provide a record of what was said in chat if a court or authority properly requires it, but we do not arbitrate between users.

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top and, for material changes, tell you in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use EV Souk after that means you accept the new terms.
